Don’t fuck with Barbie (or her dream house).

I just sent this to a real estate agent in regard to a house (my dream house… my Barbie dream house) and mannnn, did it feel good to click send.  Long story short… it’s advertised as “for sale”… but what they mean is “rent to own, you sucker”… I didn’t take this news (after being dicked around for 2 weeks) very well… as you can see.

Good evening Mr. Brandt,
I’m writing to you today about the above ad regarding a home for sale in (insert city name), PA.  My agent has been in contact with you several times in the last few weeks to attempt to figure out what it would take to purchase this home (which is listed as FOR SALE for $*insert requested purchase price*.  Good news! Just reduced… bullshit bullshit bullshit) on just about every real estate search one can perform and has a nice sign in the front lawn with your name on it.  ”For sale” terminology in regards to this home is misleading and wrong in every sense of the word.  I understand you’re merely acting under the instruction of your client, whom I understand to be Keystone Custom Built Homes, and not that it matters much, because I’m only one person, but I’ll make sure to tell anyone who will listen what great big jerks they are and anyone who’s looking for a builder, I will strenuously object to them using Keystone because of this one incident.  This was my dream house.  My daughter, husband and I went to look at it, fell in love with it and then had the rug pulled out from underneath us due to your negligence to provide accurate information and their unwillingness to sell a property that they have listed as “for sale.”  I can only assume, since you’re representing them, that you were aware of their strange and unfair terms… and, while they are being unreasonable in their expectations, you also failed to do more to better inform anyone who may have happened upon this lovely home during their search to find a house.  Now that you’re aware of the situations that this blatant false advertising can cause, since this home is clearly NOT for sale, I can only hope you do everything in your power as a real estate agent to remove this false information and instead, correctly advertise this as a home that is available for RENT by some heartless bastards, namely Keystone.
Thank you for taking the time to read this… I apologize for my language, (but I’m not sorry enough to remove it)… I took this whole thing personally and am having a hard time moving on.  Now that I’ve said my piece, I will make a greater attempt to do so.
Have a nice day,
*insert my full name* (for posting purposes… we’ll call me “Barbie”)
PS-If I’ve the wrong builder in mind to send scathing reports about to everyone I know, please advise, as I’d hate to tarnish the good name of somebody who is not to blame for this heartache.  That would be misleading. … and misleading people is wrong.

I blind-copied my agent and my husband.  I might be in trouble. I don’t care.
